NICOLAS HAMILTON

NICOLAS HAMILTON

The younger brother of multiple Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, Nicolas Hamilton lives with cerebral palsy but is pushing himself to race in Britain’s top series as an inspiration to others.

He previously competed in the Renault UK Clio Cup in 2011-12 before making his graduation to the big league in 2015, joining the BTCC grid as a guest entry from Croft onwards for AmDTuning.com in an Audi S3 Saloon. In so doing, Hamilton made history as the first disabled driver ever to race in Britain’s premier motorsport series.

Another stint in Clios preceded a return to the BTCC in 2019 driving for ROKiT Racing with Motorbase.

2020 signalled a switch to ROKiT Racing with Team HARD, in the team’s Volkswagen CC which saw Hamilton bag his first BTCC point.

Having continued with the Team HARD-backed outfit in 2021, Hamilton successfully built on these experienced foundations in 2022 to compete in the most races per season of his BTCC career.

In the CUPRA Leon’s third year and the second with Hamilton’s brake servo system fitted in the car, the Hertfordshire racer sticks with the squad for 2023.
